The metal surface exposed to the environment, if the environment is not good or the surface is dirty, it can initiate the pitting reaction or chemical reaction of the metal, thereby damaging the dense oxidation passivation film, and generating pitting corrosion at the corroded part. If the hole encounters free chloride ions, it will form a stronger acidic etching solution, thereby accelerating the rate of corrosion. Therefore, the surface of stainless steel products should be regularly maintained and cleaned to avoid damage to the oxide film. In addition, the surface of stainless steel should also avoid bumps and scratches, avoid using acidic, alkaline, strong oxidizing products to soak and wash the surface, and prohibit the use of steel wire balls, sandpaper, etc. for grinding.
If the surface of the stainless steel product is covered with dust, etc., you can wipe it with a clean damp cloth or wash it with soap and water; if the surface of the product has adhesive components or organic adhesives, you can wipe it with organic solvents such as alcohol. When there are foreign objects such as grease, diesel, etc., first wipe it with a soft cloth, and then use a neutral detergent to clean it. If it is attached to the acidic liquid, it should be washed immediately with ammonia solution or soda water, and then washed with plenty of warm water.
