2. Remove the scale in the cooling system. After the engine has worked for a period of time, the gray scale deposited on the inner surface of the water jacket and the radiator will increase. Too much scale will reduce the cooling effect, the flow of water is not smooth, and it is difficult to dissipate heat, resulting in excessive engine temperature. . Therefore, after a certain period of use, a cleaning is required.
(1) The formula of the solution for removing scale
1) 750g caustic soda, 150g kerosene, 10kg water.
2) 1kg of water-containing sodium carbonate, 0.5kg of kerosene and 10kg of water.
3) 2.5% hydrochloric acid solution.
4) A solution composed of 15g water glass, 2g liquid soap, and 1kg water.
5) A solution of 75-100g of kerosene contact agent (petroleum carbonate) and 1kg of water. The first three of the above solutions are only suitable for cleaning cast iron cylinder blocks. The latter two are suitable for cleaning of aluminum cylinder water jackets.
(2) Cleaning methods and steps
1) After the engine stops running, release the cooling water and remove the thermostat. Add cleaning solution (the first two solutions stay in the cooling system for about 10 hours, and the third solution stays in the cooling system for 1 hour);
2) Start the engine and work at idling speed for about 15 minutes until the solution starts to boil, release the solution;
3) When the engine is running, rinse the cooling system with clean water 3 to 4 times. If the cylinder block is made of aluminum alloy, apply the solution of formula 4 and 5 into the cooling system, start the engine and run for 1 hour, release the cleaning fluid, and then rinse it with clean water.
