Product Introduction

Our heavy‑duty OU‑type clevis‑clevis lifting swivel is a critical load‑bearing rigging component engineered to eliminate torsional stress during pulling, towing and lifting operations. Constructed by hot forging of high‑grade alloy steel, this swivel features robust thrust bearing assembly, delivering stable 360‑degree free rotation while under full working load, so accumulated twist force inside wire rope, drill string or cable can be fully released. It effectively prevents hazardous rope kinking, strand distortion, wire breakage and premature fatigue failure of your rigging system.

Both connection ends adopt clevis fork configuration, supplied together with high‑strength alloy steel pins and safety cotter pins. This clevis‑to‑clevis design allows fast, convenient and secure assembly with shackles, wire rope slings, pulling nets, drill rods and other lifting hardware. The complete unit is surface‑treated with high‑adhesion powder coating in bright red colour, offering excellent resistance against rust, abrasion, moisture and outdoor environmental corrosion, suitable for harsh working conditions including construction site, mine field, open‑air yard and underground engineering. A standard grease nipple is reserved for periodic lubrication, which keeps internal bearing running smoothly and greatly prolongs the whole service life of the swivel.

Each individual swivel goes through strict production control and 100% magnetic‑particle non‑destructive inspection to detect surface and subsurface cracks. It is manufactured in compliance with EN 1677‑1 European standard for lifting components. The nominal safety factor reaches 4:1, proof load is twice the marked WLL (Working Load Limit), and the product has passed cyclic fatigue test under 1.5 times working load. Multiple standard capacities are available covering 0.75 ton up to 35 tons. Custom‑made higher‑tonnage versions can be developed according to client's technical requirements.

This clevis‑clevis swivel gains wide‑spread adoption across multiple industries. It serves as a key swivel joint for horizontal directional non‑excavation drilling rig, relieving torsion when drill string rotates underground. It is also extensively used for general industrial hoisting, winch towing, mining machinery operation, overhead power‑line stringing and cable pulling tasks, as well as various site rigging and equipment‑moving projects.

⚠️ Important operational reminders for end‑users: This OU‑type swivel is strictly designed for pure axial tension load only. Side load, offset force and bending moment are forbidden, otherwise structural fracture risk will occur. Always double‑check that pins and cotter pins are properly fitted and locked before putting into service. Visual inspection shall be carried out prior to every shift. Any swivel found with crack, permanent deformation, heavy corrosion or bearing jamming must be removed from service immediately. Official load test certificates and batch traceability documents can be provided upon customer request.
