Main performance parameters of handling vehicles

(1) The rated load of the truck

The rated load of a handling vehicle refers to the type of goods that can be lifted and carried when the vehicle is working normally under specified conditions. It is an important parameter to measure the performance of the handling vehicle and directly determines the handling capacity of the handling vehicle. The rated load capacity of different types of handling vehicles or different models of the same type of handling vehicles varies greatly. For general forklifts, the rated load is about 3t, and the rated load can reach 80t; while the rated load of automatic guided trucks is generally between 500 and 1500 kg.

(2) The horizontal speed of the handling vehicle

The horizontal traveling speed of the truck refers to the speed that the vehicle can reach when traveling on a straight road. The horizontal speed of the handling vehicle directly affects the efficiency of the handling vehicle. For example, the operating speed of an internal combustion forklift is 20~27km/h, and the operating speed of operations in the warehouse is 14~18km/h.

(3) Lifting speed and descending speed of the handling vehicle

The lifting speed and lowering speed of a handling vehicle refer to the speed at which the vehicle rises and falls under certain load conditions. The lifting speed and lowering speed of the handling vehicle directly affect the efficiency of logistics operations. The lifting speed and descent speed are related to the performance and load status of the handling vehicle.

(4) Turning radius of the handling vehicle

The turning radius of the handling vehicle refers to the distance between the turning center of the handling vehicle and the longitudinal centerline of the handling vehicle when the handling vehicle is running at a low speed with no load and the steering wheel is full, that is, when the steering wheel is at a deflection angle. The turning radius of the handling vehicle affects the flexible operation of the handling vehicle. The smaller the turning radius of the handling vehicle, the smaller the requirement for working space. For the same type of handling vehicles, the size of the turning radius is related to the design size of the vehicle itself. Considering the operational flexibility of the handling vehicle, it is hoped that the various components of the handling vehicle should be as compact as possible during the design.

(5) The weight of the transport vehicle

The self-weight of the handling vehicle refers to the total weight of the handling vehicle when it is empty. Also called the wheel pressure of a transport vehicle. From the perspective of energy saving, it is hoped that the weight of the handling vehicle is as small as possible. When selecting a handling vehicle, the requirements for its own weight are mainly to consider the impact of the handling vehicle's own weight on containers, vehicles and ships.

(6) Dimensions of handling vehicles

The size of the handling vehicle refers to the total length, width and height of the handling vehicle. When choosing a transport vehicle, consider whether the size of the transport vehicle meets the requirements of the work site. For example, in order to increase the utilization rate of the warehouse and build an automated three-dimensional warehouse, the width of the roadway is required to be as small as possible. This requires that the total width of the handling vehicle be suitable for the width of the roadway in the automated warehouse.
