Analysis of several common drive shaft failures
1. Abnormal sound of sliding spline pair and cross shaft bearing
Phenomenon: When the electric pallet truck starts, the body trembles and the impact sound of "chuck, cluck" is heard. The noise is more obvious when the speed is changed, especially when the speed is slow.
Causes of failure: severe wear of the sliding spline pair; broken or excessively worn cross shaft bearing needle rollers; loosening of the fixing bolts on the flange of the drive shaft, etc.
2. Bending sound of drive shaft
Phenomenon: When the electric pallet truck is driving, a periodic sound is heard. As the speed increases, the sound will become louder and louder. In severe cases, it will be accompanied by the shaking of the body.
The cause of the failure: the transmission shaft is deformed; the welding of the transmission shaft flange and the shaft tube is skewed; the transmission shaft is unbalanced; the fixing bolts of the transmission shaft hanger are loose or the eye hole position is skewed.
3. Abnormal sound of middle hanger bearing
Phenomenon: The electric pallet truck makes a "whee, whine" sound during driving, and the sound increases with the increase of vehicle speed.
Causes of failure: wear of the middle bearing of the transmission shaft, damage to the middle rubber support or loose hanger, etc
