What to pay attention to before installing high-strength shackle

Shackles made of high-quality alloy steel through forging and heat treatment are called high-strength shackles. High-strength shackles have a wide range of applications, currently in shipyards, docks, marine operations, chemicals, ports, electric power, metallurgy, petroleum, machinery, railways and other industries that require hoisting.
High-strength shackles are generally installed in locations that are not frequently disassembled due to their heavier weight and larger volume. Then, high-strength shackles also need to be strictly inspected before installation. If high-strength shackles appear in the following situations, they must be resolutely rejected.
        1. Product rated working load, size is missing or fuzzy
   2. The product lacks the manufacturer’s name and trademark
        3. The original size of the high-strength shackle loses 10% or more
        4. High-strength shackle bend, twist, deform, stretch, elongate, crack
        5. Thermal damage caused by welding spatter, arcing, and improper welding
        6. Nuts, bolts, split pins, buckles or other fastening parts are loose or missing
        7. Other conditions that can be seen with the naked eye, thus doubting whether the sling can be used safely
The semi-fixed and hard-to-reach parts of the high-strength shackle after installation require special personnel to do regular inspections, at least once a year, to ensure the safety of lifting operations.
